• The radiator and coolant reservoir in the Nissan Frontier are equipped with pressure-type caps. To maintain proper system performance and prevent damage, always use a Genuine NISSAN radiator cap.

10. Start the engine and inspect for leaks around the drain plug and oil filter.

After the operation

Power Steering Fluid (PSF)

Check the power steering fluid level in your Nissan Frontier with the engine turned off to ensure an accurate reading.

The fluid level should fall between the COLD MIN and COLD MAX markings when the fluid temperature is between 32º - 86ºF (0º - 30ºC). When the system is warm (122º - 176ºF / 50º - 80ºC), the fluid should reach the HOT MAX level.

If the fluid is cold and at or below the COLD MIN line, add Genuine NISSAN PSF-II or an equivalent fluid up to the COLD MAX level. If the fluid is hot and below the HOT MAX line, refill accordingly to the HOT MAX mark.
