Nissan Frontier: Brake fluid

Basic information

WARNING

• Always use fresh brake fluid from a sealed container when servicing your Nissan Frontier.

  Contaminated or degraded fluid can severely damage the braking system.

  Using improper brake fluid may reduce braking performance and compromise safety.

• Clean the filler cap area thoroughly before opening to prevent dirt from entering the system.
• Brake fluid is toxic and must be stored in clearly labeled containers, out of reach of children.

CAUTION

Do not allow brake fluid to contact painted surfaces of your Nissan Frontier.

If spillage occurs, rinse immediately with clean water to prevent paint damage.

Inspect the brake fluid level in the reservoir regularly. If the level drops below the MIN mark B or if the brake warning light activates, refill with Genuine NISSAN Super Heavy Duty Brake Fluid or equivalent DOT 3 fluid up to the MAX mark A.

If frequent topping up is required, the brake system in your Nissan Frontier should be inspected by a professional technician. It is recommended to visit a NISSAN dealer for proper diagnosis and repair.
