Never expose the battery in your Nissan Frontier to open flames, sparks, or any source of ignition. The battery produces hydrogen gas, which is highly explosive and can cause serious injury or blindness.

• If the Nissan Frontier will not be driven for an extended period (30 days or more), disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent discharge.

NOTE:

Avoid situations that may lead to battery discharge in your Nissan Frontier, such as:

1. Prolonged use of electrical accessories (phone chargers, GPS devices, media systems) while the engine is off.

2. Infrequent driving or only short trips that do not allow the battery to recharge fully.
