Self-adjusting brakes

Your Nissan Frontier is equipped with an automatic self-adjusting brake system.

Both the front and rear disc brakes automatically adjust during normal operation each time the brake pedal is applied, ensuring consistent braking performance.

Brake pad wear indicators

The brake pads installed in your Nissan Frontier are equipped with audible wear indicators designed to alert you when replacement is necessary.

When the brake pads reach a critical wear level, a high-pitched scraping or screeching sound will occur while driving. This sound may be present even when the brake pedal is not actively applied.
