Nissan Frontier: Warning systems switch

The warning systems switch in the Nissan Frontier provides quick access to activate or deactivate key driver assistance features directly from the dashboard.

This switch controls systems that can also be configured through the Settings menu in the vehicle information display of the Nissan Frontier, including:

• Blind Spot Warning (BSW)
• Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

When the warning systems switch is turned OFF, the indicator 1 on the switch will not illuminate. Likewise, the indicator remains off if all related warning systems are disabled via the vehicle settings menu.

The Blind Spot Warning (BSW) system in the Nissan Frontier uses radar sensors to monitor adjacent lanes. If a vehicle is detected within the blind spot zone, indicator lights located near the outside mirrors will illuminate.

If the driver activates a turn signal toward the side where another vehicle is detected, the system will issue a double chime and the mirror indicator will flash, providing an additional layer of safety.

The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system in the Nissan Frontier enhances driver awareness by detecting lane markings. If the vehicle begins to drift toward either side of the lane without signaling, the system will respond with an audible alert, steering wheel vibration, and a blinking LDW indicator (orange) to prompt corrective action.
