The Nissan Frontier Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system is designed to enhance vehicle stability and traction under most driving conditions, and it is recommended to keep it activated during normal driving.
However, in certain situations such as when the Nissan Frontier becomes stuck in mud, sand, or snow, the VDC system may limit engine power to reduce wheel spin. In such cases, maximum engine output may be required to free the vehicle.
To temporarily disable the VDC system, press the VDC OFF switch. The
indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the system is turned off.
To reactivate the system, press the VDC OFF switch again or restart the engine. The Nissan Frontier will then return to normal traction control operation.
