Nissan Frontier: Tow mode switch

The Tow Mode feature in the Nissan Frontier is specifically designed to enhance performance and control when towing heavy trailers or carrying substantial loads.

Activating Tow Mode adjusts engine response and transmission behavior to better handle increased weight, improving stability and drivability.

Although the Nissan Frontier can be driven in Tow Mode without a trailer or heavy load, doing so may slightly reduce fuel efficiency and alter driving characteristics.

To enable Tow Mode, press the tow mode switch. The TOW mode ON indicator light will illuminate, confirming activation.

Press the switch again to deactivate Tow Mode when it is no longer required.

For safety and system efficiency, Tow Mode in the Nissan Frontier is automatically canceled when the ignition is turned OFF.

Additionally, when Tow Mode is active, the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system is temporarily disabled to prevent unnecessary braking interventions while towing.
