Nissan Frontier: Parking Aids system switch
The Parking Aids system switch in the Nissan Frontier provides convenient control over multiple rear safety and parking assistance technologies directly from the instrument panel.
When the ignition is in the ON position, this switch allows the driver to activate or deactivate the following systems (if equipped) in the Nissan Frontier:
- Rear Sonar System (RSS)
- Moving Object Detection (MOD)
- Rear Automatic Braking (RAB)
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
When these systems are enabled, the indicator light on the switch will illuminate, confirming active operation.
If the indicator light flashes while the Nissan Frontier systems are not manually turned off, it may indicate a malfunction in one or more of these assistance systems. In such cases, system inspection is recommended.
By default, the RSS, MOD, RAB, and RCTA systems in the Nissan Frontier automatically activate when the ignition is switched from OFF to ON, ensuring safety features are ready for use at startup.
This automatic activation feature can also be customized through the vehicle information display settings, allowing the driver to tailor system behavior to personal preferences.
