Nissan Frontier: Hood

1. Pull the hood release handle 1 located beneath the driver-side instrument panel of your Nissan Frontier. The hood will lift slightly to indicate that the primary latch has been released.

2. Move to the front of the Nissan Frontier, locate the secondary safety lever 2 under the hood edge, and push it to the side using your fingertips as illustrated. Then carefully raise the hood fully.

When closing the hood on your Nissan Frontier, lower it gently and ensure that it is securely latched. Always confirm proper engagement by lightly pressing down on the hood.

WARNING

• Always make sure the hood of your Nissan Frontier is completely closed and securely latched before driving. Failure to do so may cause the hood to open unexpectedly while driving, leading to reduced visibility and a potential accident.
• If you notice steam or smoke coming from the engine compartment of your Nissan Frontier, do not attempt to open the hood. Doing so may result in serious burns or injury.
