WARNING

  • The air conditioning cooling function in the Nissan Frontier operates only while the engine is running. Ensure the engine is active to maintain proper cooling performance.
  • Never leave children, vulnerable adults, or pets unattended inside your Nissan Frontier.

Extreme interior temperatures can develop rapidly, especially on hot days, potentially leading to severe injury or fatal consequences.

Unintentional operation of vehicle controls may also result in harm to occupants or others nearby.

  • Avoid using air recirculation mode for extended periods in the Nissan Frontier, as this may cause stale cabin air and increase the likelihood of window fogging.

NOTE:

Odors from both inside and outside the Nissan Frontier can accumulate within the air conditioning system and may enter the cabin through the air vents. Regular ventilation and proper use of fresh air mode can help minimize this effect.

When the engine is temporarily stopped by the Idling Stop System, activating the front defroster in the Nissan Frontier will automatically restart the engine to maintain visibility and safety.

While the engine is running, engaging either the front defroster or the outside mirror defroster will prevent the Idling Stop System from shutting the engine off, ensuring continuous operation of essential climate functions.

If the interior temperature of the Nissan Frontier exceeds approximately 86 ºF (30 ºC), the Idling Stop System will be temporarily disabled to prioritize cooling performance. However, if the air conditioning is turned off, normal Idling Stop operation may resume.

When the engine is stopped by the Idling Stop System, heating and cooling efficiency may be reduced. To restore full climate control performance in the Nissan Frontier, press the Idling Stop OFF switch to restart the engine.

Under certain operating conditions, the blower speed may automatically decrease to prevent sudden bursts of excessively hot or cold air. Once normal engine operation resumes, the fan speed setting will return to its previous level, ensuring consistent comfort in the Nissan Frontier cabin.
