Nissan Frontier: Safety Note

WARNING

  • Do not attempt to disassemble, alter, or modify the Nissan Frontier infotainment system. Unauthorized modifications may result in system malfunction, fire hazards, or electric shock.
  • If the system in your Nissan Frontier exhibits abnormal behavior such as freezing, delayed response, or loss of sound, discontinue use immediately. Continued operation under such conditions may lead to safety risks including fire or electrical issues.
  • If foreign objects enter the system, liquid is spilled, or unusual smoke or odors are detected, stop using the system at once.

It is strongly recommended to have your Nissan Frontier inspected by an authorized NISSAN dealer. Ignoring these warning signs may result in serious hazards including fire or electrical failure.

  • Always park your Nissan Frontier safely and apply the parking brake before viewing or interacting with the touchscreen display to avoid driver distraction.

Do not operate the Nissan Frontier system in extreme temperatures below −4ºF (−20ºC) or above 158ºF (70ºC), as this may lead to system malfunction or reduced performance.

Safety Information

WARNING

  • Always operate the Nissan Frontier system only when the vehicle is safely parked and the parking brake is engaged. Using the system while driving may distract the driver and increase the risk of a serious accident.
  • Remain attentive to driving conditions at all times. If the system responds slowly, do not focus on the display—keep your attention on the road. Distracted driving in a Nissan Frontier may lead to severe injury or fatal accidents.
  • Be aware that certain features such as text messaging, social media integration, and Text-to-Speech may be restricted by local laws. Always verify regulations before using these functions in your Nissan Frontier.
  • When the Nissan Frontier engine is running while parked, ensure the vehicle is in a well-ventilated area to prevent carbon monoxide buildup.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can cause unconsciousness or death. Always follow these precautions:

    • Engage the parking brake.
    • Never leave children, pets, or vulnerable individuals inside the vehicle.
    • Do not leave the Nissan Frontier unattended while the engine is running.

WARNING

Do not connect, disconnect, or operate USB devices or Bluetooth audio systems while driving your Nissan Frontier. Doing so may divert your attention from the road and increase the likelihood of an accident.
