Volkswagen ID.3: Activating and deactivating V2X

Volkswagen ID.3 (E11, E12) 2020-2024 Owner's Manual / Activating and deactivating V2X

When you log in as a user in the Volkswagen ID.3 vehicle for the first time, check whether the V2X technology setting is as you want it and deactivate V2X technology manually if necessary.

Activating V2X technology

  1. Tap HOME Privacy settings.

  2. Activate V2X technology.

WARNING

With V2X technology, limit values for electromagnetic radiation outside the vehicle could be exceeded. Higher limit values for electromagnetic radiation could pose a risk to the health of persons with active medical implants, e.g.

pacemakers.

V2X antennae are located on the roof of the Volkswagen ID.3 vehicle and, if necessary, in the mirror triangle of the windshield.

  • When outside the vehicle, keep a distance of 20 cm( approx. 8 in) from the activated V2X technology antenna.

  • Deactivate V2X technology if you suspect it has affected an active medical implant, e.g. pacemaker, or another medical device.

Manually deactivating V2X technology

  1. Tap HOME  Privacy settings.

  2. Deactivate V2X technology.

Automatic deactivation of V2X

V2X can be automatically deactivated in certain cases (→ V2X technology) .

Once the reason for the automatic deactivation has been resolved, V2X technology is reactivated if necessary

To check the activation status of V2X, tap HOME  Privacy settings.
