NOTE:

NISSAN strongly discourages the use of non-OEM approved aftermarket flushing systems on your Nissan Frontier. Many such systems utilize chemicals or solvents that have not been validated by NISSAN and may cause damage to engine components or reduce system reliability.

Emission control system maintenance

Air cleaner filter: Replace the air filter at the specified intervals to ensure proper airflow and engine efficiency in your Nissan Frontier. When driving in dusty or harsh environments, inspect and replace the filter more frequently to maintain optimal engine performance.

Engine coolant*: Replace the coolant according to the recommended schedule. When servicing your Nissan Frontier, always use Genuine NISSAN Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant (blue) or an equivalent product with the correct mixture ratio to ensure proper temperature regulation and corrosion protection.

Engine drive belts*: Inspect the belts for signs of wear such as cracking, fraying, or improper tension. Replace any worn or damaged belts promptly to prevent unexpected breakdowns.

NOTE: Using non-approved coolant types or non-distilled water in your Nissan Frontier may shorten the coolant service interval and negatively affect the cooling system.

Engine oil and oil filter: Replace the engine oil and oil filter at the specified intervals to maintain proper lubrication and protect engine components in your Nissan Frontier.
